AI-TRIZ Level 1 Online Certification Course: March 2026
Session 2: March 17 to 19, 2026
Exam: starting March 19, 5:00 p.m.
AI-TRIZ Level 1: Systematic Innovation with TRIZ & Artificial Intelligence (Online Certification Course according to MATRIZ Official)
Our extended TRIZ promise:
Become more than three times as creative when facing technical challenges – now with the added power of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
In this combined course, you will earn the globally recognized TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) Level 1 certificate and learn how to use generative AI—in particular large language models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot—as a catalyst for your innovation processes.
Course structure & learning format:
The online training takes place live in video conferences (MS Teams) and is divided into two compact blocks of three mornings each, supplemented by an online certification exam:
- Session 1: 3 days, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. each day
Focus: Fundamentals of prompt engineering & TRIZ analysis techniques - Session 2: 3 days, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. each day
Focus: TRIZ creation techniques & AI integration in the innovation process - Online exam: after Session 2, afternoon (flexible completion time)
Between the theoretical impulses, there are practical exercises in small groups (on Miro) in which you can directly apply what you have learned – both the TRIZ tools and prompt design for AI.
What you can expect:
Systematically learn the basics of TRIZ:
You will learn all the methods and tools required for the Level 1 certificate according to the training concept of the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ Official):
- History of TRIZ, ideality, resource analysis
- 9-field thinking (system operator)
- Function analysis for products according to TRIZ
- Cause-and-effect chains analysis
- Trimming
- Effects databases
- 40 inventive principles
- Engineering contradiction and contradiction matrix
- Physical contradiction and separation principles
- Main Parameters of Value (MPV)
- Introduction to substance-field analysis and the 76 standard solutions
- Introduction to S-curve analysis and trends in technological evolution
Integrating AI into TRIZ in a meaningful way:
- Fundamentals of prompt engineering: How do you ask AI the right questions?
- Application of LLMs to support TRIZ tools (e.g., in function analysis, contradiction resolution, idea generation)
- Use of our prompt library for targeted AI control in innovation tasks
- Practical exercises with generative AI for technical problems
Target audience:
Engineers, developers, designers, innovation managers, and anyone who wants to improve products, processes, or systems with systematic creativity and forward-looking AI tool support.
Certification:
At the end of the course, you will take two online exams for the following internationally recognized certificates, which have been issued in accordance with the globally valid MATRIZ Official standard:
- AI-TRIZ Certificate (Certifies knowledge of how generative AI is used in conjunction with TRIZ.)
- TRIZ Level 1 Certificate (Certifies that the TRIZ knowledge required by the international association has been understood.)
Participation & Technology:
- Dates: Sessions 1 and 2, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (online via MS Teams)
- You will need: An internet-enabled computer with a camera, microphone, and stable connection. All applications (video conferencing & exercises) are browser-based—no installation necessary.
Your trainer:
Dr. Robert Adunka – experienced TRIZ expert, certified MATRIZ trainer, and enthusiastic AI user – will guide you through the entire course.
Feedback from other participants in the TRIZ Level 1 course:

One of the best seminars I have ever attended! I am absolutely thrilled with the TRIZ method and can only recommend this seminar.

In my professional life, I have encountered many development trends and a large number of different methods and techniques, some of which I have also implemented in companies. Until I took my first TRIZ course, I was not fully aware that it is possible to increase creativity in a targeted manner, boost development output, and reduce costs at the same time using simple means.
Dr. Adunka knows how to teach Altschuler’s methodology in a plausible way and to train efficiently using practical examples. In doing so, he succeeds in inspiring the course participants and conveying a genuine enjoyment of implementation. The ability to break away from preconceived solutions, to abstract tasks, and to define alternative solutions where less is usually more was a valuable insight I took away from the course.

I particularly liked the lively and practical training with lots of examples and exercises with an “aha” effect. The particular relevance and high usefulness of the training for everyday professional life should also be emphasized.
The background and content are conveyed clearly and very comprehensibly. When asked if it was worth it, I say: Definitely! I will recommend Mr. Adunka to others.
